I am a biostatistician working at the intersection of statistical methodology and clinical research. I study methods and effect measures that help researchers design studies and interpret their findings.

Causal inference & observational studies

I am interested in how study design and confounding adjustment inform the estimation of exposure effects. My published work examines cohort and self-controlled case series designs for vaccine safety studies, as well as adjusted risk differences for rare events.

Time-to-event outcomes

My interests include the analysis and interpretation of time-to-event data in clinical research. My teaching addresses practical questions about group comparisons, effect estimation, and the reporting of survival analyses.

Statistical methods for clinical research

I collaborate on clinical trials and observational studies, from study design to analysis and interpretation. A recurring focus in my methodological work is the performance of statistical measures under conditions encountered in practice, including sparse outcomes in large datasets.
